Jessica Simpson and little sister Ashlee Simpson have reportedly abandoned their plans for a sunny Christmas in Hawaii in favour of a break in Colorado instead. According to In Touch Weekly, the two changed their plans to have a more private celebration because Jessica is feeling down at the moment. An inside source told the magazine that Ashlee flew down to Louisiana recently to see Jessica on the set on her new film Blonde Ambition because Jessica's unhappy: "she didn't leave her trailer for two days." Jessica is reportedly still unhappy about the Kennedy Honors '9 to 5′ flub but according to a report in More magazine, she's been depressed since her divorce from Nick Lachey was finalised earlier this year. The first of image of the Silver Surfer—a much anticipated new character from the Fantastic Four sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer—has been released by Marvel Studios and appeared in USA Today. While not looking much like a surfer, the dude is definitely silver. The character will be completely computer generated a la Gollum from Lord of the Rings, and will be voiced by Doug Jones. Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad describes the Surfer as looking “somewhere between gun metal and fluid metallics so you can see the body motion, the breathing, the muscle tone, the mood." As you might have guessed from the film's title, the Silver Surfer is essential to the plot of the big budget sequel. An extraterrestrial life form, the Surfer is the herald of the planet-devouring being, Galactus, in charge of finding worlds for the fat slob to chow down on.
