| Breastfeeding Helped Gwen Stefani Drop Baby Weight
Pop star Gwen Stefani insists breastfeeding helped her lose weight after having her baby because it gave her lots of extra energy. The 37-year-old star gave birth to son Kingston in May and was desperate to get back to her normal size. Stefani explains, "I'm still nursing, and I think it gives you superhuman powers." She admits she was obsessed about getting her body back in top form adding, "That was one of the hardest things for me - the pressure of, 'OK, I need to get into shape so that I can put this record out.' If I didn't have that pressure, I don't think I would have gotten the baby weight off so quickly!" (This news article provided by World Entertainment News Network) .
CD - The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani
GWEN Stefani successfully managed a potentially disastrous transformation from the ska-punk star of No Doubt to the dance-club diva we all know her as today. With the release of Love.Angel.Music.Baby she showed she was capable of being a mainstream solo artist. The Sweet Escape continues in the same vein with several producers taking responsibility for different tracks but the results are not as effective. The first single, Wind It Up, inspired by the musical the Sound Of Music, is an interesting piece that surprisingly works very well. Unfortunately the rest of the album, while always maintaining a good beat, somehow forgets about the tune. It is unfair to judge the CD on the lack of melody, it is dance music after all, but a few more notes here and there would not have gone amiss.
Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape
From the moment Gwen Stefani began belting Im Just A Girl and Spiderwebs as the head singer of No Doubt, I knew at one point she would go solo. How could she not? Shes attractive, and can sing just about any style of song. As No Doubts sound began to change, and as Gwen started collaborating with artists like Eve and Moby, I anticipated her first solo album, and expected some unusual tracks. I was not quite prepared for This sh** is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Regardless, while many listeners were complaining that her debut was so strange, I welcomed it, and enjoyed almost every track before it got overplayed to death. So here we are with Gwens sophomore solo effort, which drops nearly two years after Love. Angel. Music. Baby.. Those who were pleased with weird after her first outing will hear more of the same this time around.
Music Review - The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani
The Sweet Escape is the second solo effort by the pop-rock singer Gwen Stefani. Released in December 2006, it is the follow-up album to the enormously successful 2004 release Love.Angel.Music.Baby. that sold 3.7 million copies. How do you follow up that kind of success with a second effort? Chances are you don’t! What one needs to do is create a good solid album. Something that you want to make - The Sweet Escape is this kind of album. Originally Stefani did not want to do another solo effort. In fact, she has been working out with No Doubt but she had some tracks leftover from the L.A.M.B. sessions that she wanted to release. She took the tracks, which include "Wonderful Life" and created a different style of CD then her last one. There will be many who feel that she is moving too far off the road that created her success, but sometimes the lack of change is what keeps an artist from being who they are and becoming something that their fans think that they should be.
