| Kylie: An Inspiration For Teenagers
Kylie Minogue has been voted the most inspirational celebrity of 2006 by young readers of a magazine. The pop princess topped the poll in Sugar magazine after beating breast cancer and returning to the stage for her Showgirl tour. Singer Christina Aguilera was second and actress Hilary Duff came third. Lily Allen was the highest-placed British star at number four. Sugar magazine editor Annabel Brog said: "Kylie couldn't be any more inspirational. She's friendly, gorgeous, talented, and this year she's shown just how strong she is too." There was no place for last year's winner Sienna Miller or runner-up Kerry Katona. Top ten: Kylie Minogue

Halle Berry voted the female celebrity with the best smile
Actress Halle Berry was voted the female celebrity with the best smile. The James Bond star captured thirty-eight percent (38%) of the votes in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) recent poll. Maria Sharapova isnt winning only on the tennis court; according to the survey the Russian beauty has the worlds best celebrity smile for an athlete. Forty-two percent (42%) of persons polled by the AACD agreed that Sharapovas smile was tops. Golf great Tiger Woods received fifty-nine percent of the votes as the male athlete with the best smile. Matthew McConaughey took the honors for best male celebrity smile with forty-four percent (44%). Also making the cut were actresses, Julia Roberts as the celebrity whose smile was most requested by patients and Hilary Duff as the queen of teen smiles.
Hilary Duff joins Barbie battalion
Duff is the latest Hollywood star to take on 12-inch proportions as the world's most popular fashion doll. She joins other famous (doll) faces such as Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce Knowles and Lucille Ball. The Red Carpet Glam Hilary Duff Doll, which shows the 19-year-old's likeness in a polka-dot dress with a red satin sash, hit stores this month. Duff, a singer, actress and fashion designer best known for playing TV's ''Lizzie McGuire,'' has also designed clothes for Barbie. The iconic blond doll and the young Hollywood beauty are ''great role models to girls and the perfect design duo,'' Jamie Wood, Mattel's vice president of Barbie marketing, said in a statement. ''Not only are they two of the most stylish entertainers, actors and fashion designers, but they also show girls there are no limits to what they can do.'' AP .

Wanna-be singer, media icon, and self proclaimed actress Hilary Duff is the latest to be immortalized with her own Barbie Doll. Features for the new Hilary Barbie include plastic expressions during acting scenes, easily removable clothing, hair that can change color at the drop of a hat, and no singing voice.Mattel corporate spokesman Hal Young said that "We considered giving her no panties, as most little girls tend to lose the doll underwear and leave them naked anyway, but decided to leave them on in case we ever decided to make a Britney doll."The new toy is on store shelves now, though a little late for the big Christmas shopping rush. "We kind of hope that people will think of this as a last minute gift idea. After all, Hilary is sort of a "B" list actress, and once everything else is picked over in the stores, we think that the doll will be one of the last things left.
