Actress Halle Berry was voted the female celebrity with the best smile. The James Bond star captured thirty-eight percent (38%) of the votes in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) recent poll. Maria Sharapova isnt winning only on the tennis court; according to the survey the Russian beauty has the worlds best celebrity smile for an athlete. Forty-two percent (42%) of persons polled by the AACD agreed that Sharapovas smile was tops. Golf great Tiger Woods received fifty-nine percent of the votes as the male athlete with the best smile. Matthew McConaughey took the honors for best male celebrity smile with forty-four percent (44%). Also making the cut were actresses, Julia Roberts as the celebrity whose smile was most requested by patients and Hilary Duff as the queen of teen smiles.

Sharapova Expected As Top Seed in Pan Pacific
U.S. Open champion and the world No. 2 Maria Sharapova will come to Japan in January to take part in the Pan Pacific Open, tournament officials say, the Associated Press news agency reported December 7. Sharapova, who won the Pan Pacific title in 2005, will be among three top-10 players in the January 30 February 4 event at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. Four-time winner Martina Hingis will also be appearing in the tournament. The top seed in the tournament will be Sharapova, and Hingis is likely to be second. Defending champion of Russia Elena Dementieva will also play and is expected to be the third seed. The Pan Pacific is an indoor womens tournament that has been considered a Tier 1 tournament since 1993, when Martina Navratilova won it.
